F.E.A.T. Lonely Tree Shawl

In the month of July we are hosting The Lonely Tree Shawl a project in our F.E.A.T. series. Remember F.E.A.T. is an acronym standing for Fiber, Explanation, and Tea.  We are offering the gathering in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 16th from 1:00pm-2:00pm.The gathering will focus on the current project and we will discuss the why we chose it, offer an abundance of information on the yarn and fiber, conversation, and of course, tea.  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that it’s entirely free!  And not only is it free, but you will also enjoy the benefit of receiving a discount on the featured yarn if you choose to purchase it after the meeting. -B & Michael

Crochet Hot Pad

If you have already learned the basics of crochet and wish to advance your skills, this is a wonderful class for you!  You will learn how to work on both sides of the foundation chain, how to increase, and how to create 3 dimensional shapes with your crochet.  The class is $10 and will be held Saturday, May 31st from 1:00pm-2:00pm.  Students will need to bring 100 yards of worsted weight cotton or wool and size G or H hook.

Open Wings

This shawl is a fantastic way to introduce yourself and master the art of short rows and simple lace motifs.  The class will teach you how to crate short rows within your project, increasing, the picot bind off, and the tab cast on.  The two part class is $30 and will be held Saturday, May 24th from 10:30am-12:00pm and Saturday, June 14th from 10:30am-12:00pm.  Students will need 490 yards of fingering weight yarn and size 6-32″ needles.  Materials for the class are not included.

Baktus Lace

This is a great light weight accessory for your summer wardrobe.  Worked from tip to tip this class will teach you how to yarn over, decrease, and twist stitches.   The class is $20 and will be held Friday, May 9th from 12:30pm-2:30pm.  Students will need to bring 200 yards of dk weight yarn (we used 100% silk from Feza yarn).  You will also need size 7 needles.  Materials for the class are not included.

Yarn Dyeing

Join us for this exciting class where we learn how to customize our yarn colorways to create an entirely unique skein of yarn!  This class will teach you the basics of yarn dyeing with only a few simple ingredients.  The class is $25 and will be held Wednesday, September 24th from 1:00pm-4:00pm.  All the supplies are included in the class students only need to bring a crock pot to dye in, the dye is chemical free so you can still use your crock pot to cook ;) so call and sign up today!

Arm Crochet

If you enjoyed our class where you learned arm knitting, then you’re bound to love arm crochet as well!  This class will teach you how to crochet using only your arms.  The class is $10 and will be held Saturday, May 17th from 10:30am-11:30am.  Students will need 2 skeins of Encore Mega or any other bulky yarn.  Materials for the class are not included.

Summer Kerchief

This fun Kerchief is the perfect accessory to your summer wardrobe.  Its colorful and textured fabric will certainly delight anyone.  This class will teach you how to increase, knit twisted stitches, and make tassels for your finished projects.  The class is $15 and will be held Saturday, June 28th from 1:30pm-3:00pm.  Students will need 1 skein of Sol Degrade, size 4 needles and either size 10 1/2 or 11 needles.  Materials for the class are not included.

Beginner Crochet

This is a fantastic class for those who wish to learn the fundamentals of crochet.  We will teach you how to create the foundation chain and, using single crochet, how to build on top of the foundation chain to create a wonderful wash cloth.  The class will be $20 and will be held Saturday, September 13th from 1:30pm-3:30pm.  Students will need to bring 100 yards of worsted weight cotton and a size H hook.  Materials for the class are not included.

In the month of May and June we are hosting Vlad a project in our F.E.A.T. series. Remember F.E.A.T. is an acronym standing for Fiber, Explanation, and Tea.  We are offering the same gathering on two different days and times so that hopefully everyone will have a chance to come in and participate.  The first gathering will be Wednesday, May 28th from 1:00pm-2:00pm and the second gathering will be Monday, June 2nd from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
