The class is $20 and students need to bring 200 yards of worsted weight yarn and a size 6-7 knitting needle.

This is the perfect project for beginning lace knitters because there is minimal lace on the edging, the rest of the scarf is worked in stockinette stitch. The class will be held Saturday, March 9th from 1:00pm-3:00pm. The cost of the class is $20 and you will need to bring 375 yards of worsted weight yarn and size 8-10 24″ or longer circular needle, you need to be getting a gauge of 4 sts=1″. We used 2 skeins of Ella Rae Lace Merino for the scarf we have pictured. Materials for the class are not included.

Brioche knitting is a family of knitting patterns involving tucked stitches or yarn overs that are knitted together with a slipped stitch from the previous row. Come learn this unique knitting technique while making a warm scarf. The class will cover casting on, the simple Brioche stitch in one color and then a two-color Brioche stitch. This is an intermediate knitting class, you will need to bring 150-220 yards of 2 different colors of worsted weight yarn and size 8 dpn’s or 16” circular needle.
