Needle Punch

Come learn the exciting art of needle punch!  This class will teach you how to create beautiful and stunning pictures out of yarn.  The cost of the class includes the cloth, yarn, and needle.  The class is $50 and will be held Saturday, July 26th from 10:00am-3:00pm.  All materials are included in the class price, I promise you don’t want to miss this class it will be a blast!

Rubbish Bag

Enjoy this new take on our old Rubbish Bag!  This simple lace and garter stitch bag is the perfect accessory to store all of your empty grocery store bags.  With all of the exciting colors, you won’t have to worry about getting bored!  This two part class will teach you how to create a yarn over, k2tog, i-cord, and how to pick up stitches.  The two part class is $25 will be held Saturday, June 12th from 10:30am-12:00pm and Saturday, June 19th from 10:30am-11:30pm.  Students will need 200 yards of worsted weight cotton and size 9-16″ or 32″ needles.

Christmas Garland

This crocheted Christmas garland is a wonderful way to get a head start on some of your Christmas knitting!  Year after year, Christmas finds a way to sneak up on me, so why not utilize these hot summer months to get ahead of the game!  The class is $20 and will be held Saturday, July 19th from 1:30pm-3:30pm.  Students will need 1 skein of Cascade 220 Sport and a size F-G crochet hook.

F.E.A.T. Chock

In the month of July we are hosting Chock a project in our F.E.A.T. series. Remember F.E.A.T. is an acronym standing for Fiber, Explanation, and Tea.  We are offering the gathering in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 30th from 1:00pm-2:00pm.The gathering will focus on the current project and we will discuss the why we chose it, offer an abundance of information on the yarn and fiber, conversation, and of course, tea.  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that it’s entirely free!  And not only is it free, but you will also enjoy the benefit of receiving a discount on the featured yarn if you choose to purchase it after the meeting. -B & Michael

Crochet Hot Pad

If you have already learned the basics of crochet and wish to advance your skills, this is a wonderful class for you!  You will learn how to work on both sides of the foundation chain, how to increase, and how to create 3 dimensional shapes with your crochet.  The class is $10 and will be held Saturday, May 31st from 1:00pm-2:00pm.  Students will need to bring 100 yards of worsted weight cotton or wool and size G or H hook.

Open Wings

This shawl is a fantastic way to introduce yourself and master the art of short rows and simple lace motifs.  The class will teach you how to crate short rows within your project, increasing, the picot bind off, and the tab cast on.  The two part class is $30 and will be held Saturday, May 24th from 10:30am-12:00pm and Saturday, June 14th from 10:30am-12:00pm.  Students will need 490 yards of fingering weight yarn and size 6-32″ needles.  Materials for the class are not included.

Baktus Lace

This is a great light weight accessory for your summer wardrobe.  Worked from tip to tip this class will teach you how to yarn over, decrease, and twist stitches.   The class is $20 and will be held Friday, May 9th from 12:30pm-2:30pm.  Students will need to bring 200 yards of dk weight yarn (we used 100% silk from Feza yarn).  You will also need size 7 needles.  Materials for the class are not included.

Yarn Dyeing

Join us for this exciting class where we learn how to customize our yarn colorways to create an entirely unique skein of yarn!  This class will teach you the basics of yarn dyeing with only a few simple ingredients.  The class is $25 and will be held Friday, July 11th from 1:00pm-4:00pm and again on Saturday, August 2nd from 1:00pm-4:00pm.  All the supplies are included in the class students only need to bring a crock pot to dye in, the dye is chemical free so you can still use your crock pot to cook ;) so call and sign up today!
