Our last few entries have been all about super easy and fun projects that you can knit up quickly just in time for the holidays. And now that you have saved so much time with these projects and you are coming close to finishing all of your Christmas knitting/crocheting (because in theory, not everyone is like me in waiting until Christmas Eve to finish all of my presents), you can relax and work on something for yourself. Face it, you’ve been knitting up a storm these last few weeks and you deserve something nice for yourself.
And what better gift to give yourself than cashmere! Superior, a very fitting name for this Italian cashmere yarn by Filatura Di Crosa, is so luxurious that it could please even the most finicky mother-in-law. This delicate lace weight yarn is so light and lofty that it lends elegance and class to whatever garment you choose to knit from it. Mikki was inspired to knit this ethereal wrap out of just one skein of Superior, making this cashmere wrap very affordable. Although don’t be fooled by the appearance. While this wrap looks like an incredibly difficult knit, in reality it is actually quite simple (though, you certainly don’t have to reveal that to your mother-in-law. We can keep that our little secret).
If you’re interested in knitting a Plume de Joie, come check out Superior and its variety of colors (with more on the way!) and click here for the pattern. And as always, Happy knitting! -Michael
