Admit it, we’ve all been there. It’s December 18th and you just realized that you still have to knit a scarf for your mother, socks for your father, a hat for your sister, mittens for your brother, and Christmas is only a week away! And what about those Christmas stockings you’ve been promising yourself every year but never quite manage to make because you always run out of time? I found myself in the same situation last Christmas and the Christmas before that. So let’s try something new this year.
Instead of passing out a handful of IOUs this Christmas to most of your family members, why don’t we start earlier? In my opinion, summer is the perfect time to finish all of your Christmas knitting and crocheting. Nobody wants to work on heavy blankets or cardigans when it’s 110 degrees outside, so why not use that time to get a head start?
Not only does this give you peace of mind to know that all of your Christmas gifts are finished with plenty of time to spare, but it also frees up those winter months to knit the items you’ve been waiting all summer to wear. So turn on the air conditioner and some carols and start knitting! If you are interested in this pattern, just click here to take a peak. Stay tuned for more Christmas in July ideas. -Michael
