My Aspen Leaf Skinny Scarf

Beautiful “Aspen Leaf” Lace points add texture and interest to this relatively simple open knit.  Now that it is starting to get warm you might be looking for that simple non-bulky accessory you can throw on without worrying about getting hot.  This is the project, not to mention it is perfect for showing off that special skein of hand-painted yarn.

Or if you like the one pictured here Martha used 1/2 a hank of Mountain Colors River Twist a fresh 2 ply yarn different from anything else we carry here at the shop.  I like it because it because the textures and colors look similar to a hand spun yarn.  Only using 1/2 a hank gives you enough to make one for a gift or you could make it even longer for more wrapping during the fall.

You can find this pattern by Jennifer Brooks Rice on Ravelry or just click here.  Thanks to Martha for bringing her finished project in for us to photograph. -B
