Finishing Techniques
This class will highlight some finishing techniques that are a little different from traditional finishing. We will feature picking up stitches from a finished edge without leaving holes (eg buttonband or shawl collar), adjusting buttonholes to fit the buttons you want if they are not necessarily recommended size, learning how to do a single crochet edging and a rolled bullion crochet stitch (also known as the crab stitch). Students will need to bring worsted weight scrap yarn, size 8 needles, a size H crochet hook, and a finished 5 x 5 swatch. The class will be held Saturday, January 19th from 10:30am-11:30am. The cost of the class is $10, materials for the class are not included.
