If you have been waiting for that perfect fall pattern to get you in the knitting mood don’t let this one pass you by. Inspired by outrageous couture knitwear, you will stay warm all winter long after you knit up the layered Mrrrphmrrf Cowl by Kayla Dyches, just click here to take a look at the pattern. The quick simple project uses big yarn and big needles.
Amy used Berroco Souffle an airy but warm, woolly chainette construction yarn, in a captivating range of self striping colorways. The pattern is a series of knitted fabric folds and the more imperfection in the folds the better the finished project looks making each one unique to it’s creator. So don’t stress about making your folds perfect.
The design is also very versatile, you can wear it down around your shoulders as a stole or try bunching it up around your neck as a bulky cowl. Amy has also made the cowl in a slightly smaller weight yarn and smaller needle, by casting on more stitches she was able to create the same look, so the pattern is flexible for different sizes. Thanks to Amy for bringing in her very cute fall favorite! -B
