Traveling Woman
The Traveling Woman Shawl inspired by loves trials, knits up beautifully in Colinette Yarns Jitterbug. The hand dyed yarn adds color and variation to the traveling diamond lace pattern without losing the intricacy of the work. You only need one skein of yarn for the above size, but if you would like to make the shawl larger the pattern can be easily adjusted to fit all body types.
The bind off used from the pattern gives a slight scallop, but if you would like more defined points you could use a lace bind off or knit bind off. We were lucky enough to snag this shawl from one of our friends (Misty Wisher) who came by the store to visit.
She picked the pattern because it has written instructions as well as a chart and can be knitted by T. V. light. That is what I am going to start saying if we think the pattern can be knitted while watching T. V. When I saw this shawl I thought it was a perfect accompaniment for spring when here in Oklahoma the temperature drops as soon as the sun does. -B
