Flower Band
A few weeks back Ms. Misty Wisher came into the shop to talk to Leslie and I about her fun spring/summer crochet project. It would be a bright accesory made out of Manos Cotton Stria, soft and cool on your neck. Everyone knows, me included, that when you start talking about how you are going to have a project finished in the next couple of days, that almost never happens. Not Misty though, she is one fast project maker, her needles are the fastest the midwest has ever seen other than Mikki, Mary, and Elizabeth.
Anyway, back to the project at hand, I think it turned out really cute and if you need some help learning to crochet you can take the Flower Band class here at L & B in May, check back with us for dates. The best part about this project is the verstile ways it can be worn.
You can crochet it short for a choker, medium length for a necklace, or long for a belt to wear with your favorite cotton skirt or tunic. The project is crocheted in two pieces with the flower on one side and the button as the closure on the other, making the center of the flower really stand out. The pattern for the flower band will be available for free on the L & B website after the class in May. -B
