Baby Pants
I was looking for a baby pattern for a knitter friend that was having a little baby girl and I ran across these baby pants in Closely Knit: Handmade Gifts for the Ones You Love. They can be paired with any top and would even be good to use with a onesie in the spring months to be removed quickly if the weather gets warm in the afternoon. Her 2 year old son is always wearing adorable tiny knits that his Mom has made and I knew she would enjoy a pair of knitted pants.
Depending on the color you choose for these tiny pants, they can be perfect for a girl or a boy. Made with Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria 100 percent cotton these comfy pants are equally great for playtime and dress up. Each leg begins with a seed stitch border and is knit separately then joined together to work the waist as one piece. I finished the pants off with a 3 stitch I-cord knit in a dark brown for an accent.
If you are looking for a super soft semi solid yarn the Cotton Stria is Peruvian kettle-dyed which gives your final project some color texture. If I wasn’t such a slow knitter or maybe not slow as much as not a finisher I would make a pair of these for Leslie to substitute as sweat pants. -B

You need a picture of the baby wearing the pants. She looks adorable in them!
