Pinwheel Washcloth
How many of you know this pattern:
CO 4
Row 1: K2, YO, Knit to end
Repeat
I can’t take it anymore! I bet some of you out there are with me on that, even though it is a great pattern, sometimes we all need a little something to spice up our lives. I decided to knit a new type of washcloth.
This pin wheel pattern still starts small and gets larger as you knit but, this time it’s in a circle. The pattern lends some interest with yarn overs that create a spiral effect and with Mission Falls 1824 Cotton the color and bumpy texture are unmistakable.
Like the popular washcloth pattern I mentioned above which, is knitted diagonally to make any size possible, even afghan size, you can do the same with this pattern. It would make an adorable baby blanket or even a full size afghan is a possibility that I am contemplating.
I used Manny Olds free pattern on Ravelry called the Octagonal Swirl Cloth but, I removed the garter stitch border and cast off for a clean edge. All you wash cloth knitters out there join together with me to create a new trend in the knitted wash cloth world. Knit the Pinwheel. -Amberly
