Corrugated Scarf

On my fall trip to New York City aka the Big Apple, where everything is stylish and chic, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Lion Brand Yarn Studio a unique yarn store, where I spotted this elegant and interesting corrugated scarf.  I couldn’t wait to get back home to pick out my yarn and start this project. 

Unfortunately we had long flight ahead of us, but that gave me time to think about what yarn I wanted to use.  I knew I needed a chunky weight yarn and of course I wanted to use wool to help keep me warm in the cold winter months ahead.  After contemplating several different yarns I decided to use Rowan’s Big Wool. 

This yarn would be perfect; with its luscious wool texture of 100% merino, the two soft thick plies that look and feel like a single strand, and its’ beautiful color range.  The project turned out just like I had hoped.  It is whimsical and warm, stylish and practical, functional and soft. 

You only need two balls of Big Wool and because it is a chunky weight it is a fast project for any knitter.  I hope you enjoy and thanks to Lion Brand for their beautiful design.  -Lisa
